INSULATION

Insulation – Fiberglass

Fiberglass insulation is one of the few home improvements that not only pays for itself, but also continues paying you every month with savings on your heating and cooling bills.
Blown in fiberglass insulation surrounds everything in your attic, creating a very effective “blanket” for your home. It is made from recycled glass so insects won’t eat it and it does not shrink.
We insulate attics, knee-walls, walls, crawl spaces, cathedral ceilings, bungalows, and our professionally trained installers take great pride in their work, assuring you a great job with no hassle.

Insulation – Cellulose

Depending on your project, you may want to choose cellulose insulation. Fiberglass and cellulose are similar in many ways. They are relatively inexpensive, they are easy to work with, and the R-Values are comparable.
Cellulose is a loose fill insulation made from recycled paper. It is treated so it is fire and mold resistant. It is also treated not to shrink, thus reducing loss of R-value over the life of the insulation

WHAT THE EXPERTS ARE SAYING…

“Updating insulation will keep house warmer, save you money”

“The attic is the easiest place to add insulation and gets the biggest return. “

“Whenever you use blown or loose-fill insulation, it is important to install attic ventilation channels (rafter baffles) to keep the soffit vents from being accidentally blocked. “

“As a general rule, if the insulation is at least 1-foot thick, you really don’t have to do anything. If the insulation is only 3 to 6 inches thick, you have a major problem.”

“Be sure to install attic rafter vents to keep insulation from blocking the soffit vents and to channel the airflow to the ridge vents.”

“In most cases, the homeowner does not have enough skill to do this job properly and should hire a skilled professional.”
